To Be A Mockingbird
Saturday May 20th, from 5.30pm to 8.30pm
A compact and highly efficient workshop on the occasion of Paris Fringe Festival 2017 – an opportunity for anyone keen on trying a bit of physical acting for comedy or clowning!
a long-tailed thrush-like songbird with greyish plumage, found mainly in tropical America and noted for its mimicry of the calls and songs of other birds.
After a few warm up exercises based on the Seidenstein method, we'll practise how to mock seriousness. Seriously.
You will not only have fun, but gain valuable insight in:
1° how to use your body as an instrument of creativity (the muses will come running to you rather than you having to chase them)
2° how to relate play- and powerfully to l'Autre (abstract French for the generic other person)
3° how to have a healthy relationship to yourself and the world in general (phew, that's a big one)
The workshop is in English.
Only life experience is required to participate.
